![]() ![]() However, if asked, I would beg Crosman to develop a short steel breech and some each Crosman and LW barrels that were threaded on BOTH ends and then sell them at a premium price to reflect the extra work involved. In fact, a threaded breech might be a bigger hurdle than a threaded barrel. My guess is that the operation that puts the ends on the barrels by turning down an area with lands for o-rings is a lot cheaper to perform and much faster also than whatever it would take to put threads on the end of the barrel AND inside the breech. ![]() The barrels, both Crosman and Luthar Walther have/had o-rings in a turned down area at the end of the barrel and they slipped into the breech and were held in place with set screws. I have no special information about what Crosman will do in the future but I know from experience what they have done in the past. ![]()
